Easy Tiger

Corporate Citizenship Category Winner

Located in Austin, Texas, Easy Tiger helps people “Slow Down, Stay Awhile” with artisan bread, cured meats, a full bar, and craft beers. Easy Tiger's in-house bakery offers a selection of Old World hearth breads, European-style pastries, and signature soft pretzels— all baked fresh daily. Austin Chronicle readers awarded Easy Tiger Best Bakery, Best Patio and Best Happy Hour in Austin and Easy Tiger was featured on PBS tasteMAKERS.

When Covid hit and their restaurants were forced to close, Easy Tiger’s leadership team pivoted by amping up their wholesale bakery production to supply local grocery stores like H-E-B, Whole Foods, & Randalls, with fresh baked goods daily. They were able to quickly hire back many of their furloughed employees to accommodate the high-demand of drive-thru orders and they even have a Bread Truck which travels across Austin serving freshly baked goods & pastries. They also gave over 20,000 loaves to Central Texas Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Keep Austin Fed, and Mobile Loaves & Fishes.

EVO Entertainment Group®

Workplace Engagement Category Winner

EVO Entertainment Group is an Austin-Texas based out-of-home entertainment operator comprised of a number of innovative brands including EVO Entertainment, EVO Cinemas, and EVO Concerts. EVO Entertainment Group currently employs over 1,000 team members facilities include 71 screens, 38 bowling lanes, three full-service restaurant/bars, three live music venues and over 200 video arcade games across eight locations in Central Texas.   

When they shut down in March, the circuit did not furlough any of their support team, which is truly remarkable given the circumstances. Mitchell Roberts had his full staff of over 900 employees help strategize and prep for their reopening.
